This is my mask of Recovery

This mask I did do during my recovery and I didn't intend on but it ended up being my journey of recovery. The first word on the top of the mask is "rescue mission" and if you follow the mask from the top left side all the way around to the top right side it takes you through the thoughts of recovery. From the self hate to doubt to what it would be like without the ED and then to leaving the ED behind. Some of the words on the top right are "meet the new me," "living," "worthy," and the last words are "where next?"

The idea you have with how I project myself to others and how I see me I was actually planning to do that with another collage. I guess great minds think alike.

Thank you for your comment.

Jackie,
The mask is really amazing and intense. I'm always glad to hear about all the great work you are doing to both help yourself and others.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful representation of yourself and your journey. I think I may make a mask to convey my emotions about getting over a difficult relationship. Your bravery and courage astounds me and I am so proud and honored to be your friend!

Jackie,
You are an amazing individual. I enjoyed working with you back in Nashville and you taught me more than you will ever realize. I always look forward in your emails you send me for I never know what amazing things you may be doing. Being an advocate and helping others with their disabilities is your gift in life. I know you are making a world of difference. . .I know you have in my life. That mask is so beautiful. I like the idea of words on it. AWESOME!
Good luck in all you do!
